FCP plugin for Canon DSLR

Just in from Canon:

The long-awaited Plug-in to Apple's Final Cut Pro software (v6.0.3-current 7.0) is free for download, (about 2.99MB in file size). It will ease workflow for users who are shooting video files with the EOS 1D Mark IV, EOS 5D Mark II, and EOS 7. NOTE: Mac OS X only.

Basically the Plugin E1 will allow:
  • Clips ingested using “Log & Transfer”
  • Archiving
  • Time Code Generation
  • Auto File Import
  • Auto Trans Code
  • Auto Data Input
  • Selectable ProRes formats in FCP7
  • Selectable ProRes formats in FCP6

This plug-in is a huge step for video editors.
