Personally, I think this is a great way for them to reach the market... The time alone it takes to configure a package like this, if you don't have a great salesman, will quickly reach a monetary point after you rack up enough hours surfing brands and specs...  Yo, and while your at it why not throw a cheap mirror rig in there and call it a student 3D package because that HMX100 can do "3 Dimensional" as far as I can tell...  If Panny did this with P2 cams and fly packs they'd really be in an interesting position to leverage value...

well, i think as more businesses look to harness the power of web distribution, they look to put together projects that require "systems" more than items.  Interoperability is the 2nd degree of product knowledge, knowing the gear is the first, then comes knowing what it works (well) with in a system.  They are trying to save you the hassle here but you always wonder when someone is doing that, what advantage they have.  Often package deals are convenient but leave you wanting more or less allocated to some parts of the package.  You would have to decide whether they did a good job kitting the stuff up, and whether there was any real incentive to buy it all together.  do they tell you what the stuff would all cost separately?
