Just read that George Lucas has ordered a 3D conversion for all six Star Wars films. Trying to get other people's thoughts.
I never saw the 'Clash of the Titans' remake in 3D, but I heard lots of disapproving reviews about its post-production conversion. Specifically, I recall James Cameron (fresh off the success of 'Avatar') opining that such a conversion could never be adequate, and that given sufficient time (i.e. 3-6 months) the effects crew might achieve "2.8 D." Apparently, since 'Clash' received its 3D treatment over 6 weeks or so, it was not successful in this regard. But assuming that Lucas Arts will put sufficient effort into this undertaking, I am curious as to how the Star Wars saga might look in "2.8 D."
Thoughts?
