The second annual Global Peace Film Festival is set to kick-off in Orlando, FL at the Downtown Media Arts Center November 19th -24th. The festival will present powerful feature films telling stories from around the world: Europe during World War Two, Bangladesh during their civil war in 1971, Liberia’s current never ending civil war, Iraq just before the current war began, a bereavement circle in the Middle East, and firefighters in NY after September11th. As well, the festival will present a wonderful selection of short films as well as panels, one of which includes Noble Peace Prize Laureate Betty Williams.
